At the beginning of my career I worked at Lockheed Martin developing high power solid state lasers. My research delved into coherent laser beam combination, Nd:YAG lasers, and waveguide amplifiers. I also spent several years at M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory working on a technology transfer program involving lasers on planes.
